The Inter-Active iPhone Business Card

Today, I'm introducing a new app coming out for iPhone users, the "iPhone Inter-Active Business Card."  I used ActiveRain and my iPhone to demo how it will work.  Now it's not available just yet, I wanted to see what you think of it first. I'll be doing a follow-up post in the next couple weeks showing you how to get one of these iPhone apps that you can customize for your company and for your iPhone.  I'm really excited about this one, mainly because I got to help design it.  :-)

The "iPhone Bus Card" allows users to Interact with you from their iPhones.  They can call you, email you, or visit your website, all at the touch of a button.  The screens, tabs, links, and graphics you'll see in this video are all customizable.  You can have it link to your office or business address, which uses Google Maps to provide location and directions.  You can add video, or a link to your Blog, it even has the ability for text messaging and more.

My favorite feature is on the "about" tab, which lets you search our site.  You can search nearly 1,000,000 posts, or 140,000 members right from your iPhone.  For the past two weeks, I have been working with a developer who has helped put this all together.  I think in the next week or so, it'll be ready to go public.

I can see how something like this could easily go viral at the iTunes store.  I'm hoping this AR app will be available on itunes soon for you and others to download.  Just remember, you saw it here first.  The first Inter-Active ActiveRain iPhone Business Card.  (Almost sounds like a commercial...sorry)  In the weeks ahead, this could become one of the coolest and most popular iPhone apps in our Industry.  Am I too Optimistic...

I think this will be a great marketing and social media networking tool.  What better way to promote your company, get connected to the cellular world, create an application to perform exactly what you want and need, and allow clients, users, and friends to "Inter-Act" with you on many different levels.  My guess is that this will be a huge hit once it's public and made available to ALL iPhone users.  The added bonus?  All iPhone owners can call any other iPhone owner for FREE! Why?  Because all iPhone users are currently on AT&T.   iPhone Users and Projections.

My goal: Make sure the ActiveRain family and friends get first shot at this, so stay tuned...

That's just way too cool!

I can't wait until AT&T's exclusivity with the I-Phone expires so I can get one too!

Thank you, as always, Brad for yet another informative and well crafted blog.

All the best to you my friend.

Mike  - now if I told you that, I'd be giving up my "thunder" for the next post that shows you how...

Seriously though, it will be an easy process.  I Just wanted to see what kind of interest there is for an app like this.

I love mine for accessing AR.  I forgot to mention, it has a mortgage calculator too!  {{whoot!}}

This sounds pretty cool.  I don't have an iPhone, but I still like to keep up with what's out there.  It may trickle down to the Treo eventually.

I didn't jump on the iPhone bandwagon. I just don't get it. I knew I wouldn't watch videos or surf the web or even listen to music on it. I don't even text that much. I'm all business when it comes to my Smart Phone. I just need it to synchronize with Outlook for the most part. And I think the iPhone runs on a Palm platform doesn't it? I won't even get started on that one =P So I got a Palm Treo e755, but it runs Windows Mobile v6.  It can actually do everything the iPhone can, but I like to be different. I couldn't get an iPhone. Everyone else did! LOL

Brad this sounds like a cool application!   Sprint, my current cell phone provider doesn't carry the iphone.  This question may be stupid, but can we create one of those business cards for our site without actually owning an iphone?  Again, sorry if this is a stupid question...

Why is it that when you write about one thing, it always attracts the other?  LOL~

If I wrote about Verizon, I'd get all the AT&T comments.  If I wrote about Pizza Hut, I'd get all the Round Table comments.  Geeeezzz, I can only do so much here guys, how about just one app and one post at a time?  ROFLMAO!!  :-)

So for all you Blackberry CrackBerry fans like Jeff Corbett out there, do what I did............ visualize!!!

Maybe Jeff can work on this one since he's the AR Blackberry Boy!  :-))

Fantastic! Can't wait. I've had the iPhone since the day it came out - thanks to a good son! I upgraded it, and my company has its own app for it which I love for listings, contact numbers of agents, etc. This is one more wonderful app for it. I can live without it doubling as a Supra key quite easily. It does enough other things that are too great. Good for you for having the knowledge, skill, creativity to do this.

Since this post, there have been two "NEW" additions added...

1. A mortgage calculator, nice for quick and easy payment calculations.

2. The More Property Info Button: This allows a user to be in front of a house or in a neighborhood and email you their interest in either the property or the neighborhood.  It works based on the built in GPS that comes on the iPhone 3G.

Now, your client could be standing in front of a house, click on "I am Interested in This Property" and an email would be sent to the agent and themselves giving a map, the coordinates, and a photo (with links) of the location of this property.

I can see this as a really useful tool for your buyers, all the while keeping you inter-connected with your clients "likes" and "dislikes" of particular properties and neighborhoods.   This should be coming out next week.  I'm really excited about sharing this with you all....

From iTunes on your computer: just search "ActiveRain" or click here.  http://itunes.com/app/activerain

From your iPhone:  just click on the AppStore Icon, then the search tab and type in "ActiveRain" then install.

I am totally excited today!!!  Off to write the post about it now...
