How To Add Blogs To Facebook Business Pages

Many Facebook Business page owners want to automatically add their Blog posts to their pages.  While this can no longer be done on your Facebook personal profiles, it CAN BE DONE if you have a Facebook Business or Fan page.  NetworkedBlogs created a Facebook app that allows you to now add your Blog posts directly and automatically to the Facebook page(s) of your choice.

The first step is to make sure you have a Facebook Fan or Business page.  If you don't have one, Create A Facebook Business Page or Fan Page here first. Once you have a page created, you can run through the following step-by-step instructions to add almost any blog content from any site to your Facebook selected pages.

This should also work nicely with your ActiveRain blog content if you choose.

You'll want to visit http://Facebook.com/NetworkedBlogs to begin the process.  For detailed step-by-step instructions including the screen-shots that you'll need to do this, I've created a 12-Step Blog to Facebook Tutorial that will walk you through the entire process.

Some of you may not want your posts to appear on your Facebook pages and that's ok too. If that's the case, you might still find this tutorial helpful and useful to share with a friend or associate when they ask you how to do this?  This is what Bernadine Hunter from ActiveRain asked me, I hope this will help others too.

Are your ears burning? Spoke with Kerri Lowther from Zillow this morning and you should be hearing from her.

Merry Christmas.

I have grown so used to doing it manually and linking it to my outside blog and not my AR blog that I'll just keep doing it that way.   I will check this out though.  Never know when I might want in the future.  Thanks for sharing as always.

Hi Brad

Thank you for this tutorial.  I did the whole thing but hesitated to put in the blog URL.  Does every single blog I write get posted here or will I have an option to post just certain ones?  Thanks again.

Hi Margaret - wondered why my ears were warm???  :-)

Tammy - options and alternatives are a beautiful thing.

Santa Todd - sorry!  lol~  Merry Christmas to you and yours~

Margaret - members ONLY won't post but the rest will.... I think.

Hi Brad,

Thanks so much for this!  Not a lot of time to look into it right now but anything and eveything you do is always fantastic so will mark it to come back to.

OK. Maybe I am not awake yet this morning. Tried adding the non'javascript code to Active Rain but networked blogs still will not verify me.  What did I do wrong.  Went to setting and added the script to Blog Description - Is that not correct? Help Brad. Thanks so much.

Brad

The question I always struggle with in using Facebook, is putting all my posts there. I do a few, i.e. Upcoming events and news, but I still feel F is not the site to do this. Am I wrong? thanks cvc

Susan - public only, not members only posts.

Bobbie - feel free to call me if you need and I'll try and walk yo through it over the phone. :-)

Curtis - it's your choice with preference and content. Some want it all, some want none, and some want to post directly.  It's your call and what works best for you, your audience, your readers and your business.

Nikki - Merry Christmas!!

Hi Brad; Is it all or nothing? Or can you pick and choose which posts. Great tip though.

Posted by Eileen Begley, Monterey Real Estate (Coldwell Banker, DelMonte) almost 6 years ago

Hi Brad, THANKS for this info!  You have already answered my question since someone asked before me... I was going to ask... all posts or can we opt out on some posts?  I at least know the Members Only posts won't be shared on Facebook.  Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Brad. it took me FOREVER (especially fooling around with my wordpress blog -- sheesh!!) BUT...I got it done. Yay. I'm networked, Baby!

Posted by Elva Branson-Lee, CDPE - Atlanta Real Estate & Short Sale Agent (Solid Source Realty GA) almost 6 years ago

Eileen - I think you can remove any post that networks over to Facebook if you choose to.

Linda - make sure you confirm that your AR Members ONLY Posts aren't showing up, I only tested this out with some Wordpress blogs to be sure it works.  I remember setting up AR University to pull Blog posts and I recall it working great but then I never really write "members only" posts, mine are 99.9% public.

Jerry - It works great with the few I have setup, hopefully this will help others too.

Elva - I totally get it, that's why I put this together.  It takes 12 steps to do, and I'm sure there are other and maybe even better ways to do it, but at least this is one solution that I know works great for right now. Congrats on getting networked!

Happy Holidays ~

Thanks Debbie - it's always great to talk to other members who understand the relationship building process of any online platform including ActiveRain.  Some get it and some don't.  You are one of the smart ones with an awesome and very kind spirit. Thank YOU for all you do here on AR and in your community.  It's people like you that are truly making a difference in this world and guys like me really appreciate and respect that very much.  Happy Hoildays~

I am amazed how many agents use the regular facebook page for business.  I had mine done professional by Mike and it really works well. I point to it on my personal page as a great search tool.  Thanks, would like to have my post done auto instead of me having to post it on hootsuite.
