Hi Brad...this looks really Cool, I like the Travel Guide feature. I'm Coming Wednesday.
Brad as always you are continually helping us with New ideas for our Business...Thanks!
Glad you're putting this late afternoon- I can't take the time during the day. Looks very interesting. I use simple Google maps all the time.
Brad-Looks great. Will definitely be there on Wednesday- just signed up for the webinar.
darn it. Taking mom out for dinner that night for her birthday. Hope you repeat this, as it very interesting to me
Hi Brad, Thanks forsharing this. I think this is a wonderful tool and I am sure I also find some creative ways to use it. I will go back and register. Thanks again.
Thanks Brad! I am registered & am looking forward to Wednesday's webinar!
Brad, I really like this feature. I'll be there Wednesday.
Brad,
Crazy week, but good - so can't do this class. Are you recording or going to do the class over?
Thanks,
Michelle
This looks really good. I was sorry I missed one last week on the topic. I figured out Scribd tonight. Where are the AR classes listed besides your post?
Brad,
There is a lot of information that we need to learn ! :) you never finish learning, read, learn, ask, practice everyday ! :)
Brad - I'm looking forward to this seminar and have signed up.
Brad, thanks for the heads up on the webinar, I'm going to go register right now.
Brad, do you save the webinar so some of us who are out and about during this time? Could we just re-play it at a time of our choosing? Let me know please.
Brad - I've been looking forward to a class on this. Unfortunately I cannot make it, I hope it's recorded! Thank you!
Brad - I've been looking forward to a class on this. Unfortunately I cannot make it, I hope it's recorded! Thank you!
I have meant to ask before, are all those classes recorded? I made it once to one of your webminar but it is very hard to be available during normal business hours...
I know I only use a fraction of the power underneath Google Maps...
Your class sounds like it will be worthwhile.
This is amazing. I am going to try to free up my schedule to attend this course.
Brad...
I'm going to try my best to make it ... I need this tool in my arsenal!
OK, this does look good and I hope you record the class because I will definately need step by step guidance! Thanks!
I really need this class and thank you for doing it.
Very cool tool. Someone from my office will be there. This is another cutting edge advantage to our marketing. Thanks for your time and effort.
I've been using it a little but need to learn much more. I'll be there.
Hi Brad, thanks for the post. I can't make it this Wednesday, but looks interesting, and maybe I can catch up on the info later or at another webinar.
Sounds like an exciting tool to learn how to use. Will do my best to be there. Thanks a lot!
I am going to try to make the class, but sometimes clients get in the way of my education! Please record all your sessions so if we miss them, we can still learn your valuable tips & tricks!
Brad - Wish I could make it... bummer... But if I get a listing instead I'd say it's a good thing right?
Brad - I am going to try and make it to this, thanks for the information. I have been seeing the Real Bird on others posts, and do like it.
Thanks!
I cannot wait for this webinar!
More great info from AR University! Hope I actually make this class - last week my appointment ran over and I missed the entire session! Urgh!
I love Google Earth and really use it alot! You always have great information to share and I appreciate it much! You are probably aware but there is a cool site to look up coordinates that can be used as well. I have it listed in one of my blogs (didn't know if I could place a link to it here).
I'm going to register for the class in hopes I will be able to attend! Thanks for all you do! - Paige
Looks like a great Webinar!
Brad, Where do you post previous Webinar recordings from ARU?
Looks like some very cool stuff. Will definitely try to attend on Wednesday.
Please, please repeat! Would love to see this one but cannot get out of my appointments Wednesday evening.
Thanks for all you do!!!
Margaret
sounds like an extremely good way to learn more - count me in! Your ARU classes just keep getting better and better Brad! Thanks!!
Thanks everyone, we do try and record many of these classes because we know they don't always work with your busy schedules. We also try to do them at various times and on different days to try and be more accommodating. We will have repeat classes in the future based on your responses to the HOT TOPICS so keep checking back at the ARU Calendar for the schedule.
Once we create the ARU Archive Library, I'll be sure to post and let everyone know about it. The only thing about watching a webinar video vs actually being there is you miss out on the "synergy," the "LIVE CHAT," and the interaction by others that can't be obtained by watching a video, but we'll still try to hook this up for you asap.
I'll miss this one, but look forward to the Archive Library, or the next one. You're putting out marvelous information, but it's coming so fast and furiously I can't keep up! (But, don't stop!)
Brad,
Signing up now. Thanks for the many informative classes.
Google map is the best tool that a real eatate agent can have and it is free too. Looking forward to it.
One way you can help us get the word out is to "DIGG" these classes, but only if you are really digging them!
Digg - http://digg.com/tech_news/ARU_Using_Google_Maps_for_Business
You can also share them on ANY of the other social networks like FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, De.Li.cious, StumbleIt etc.
Just click on "ANY" icon on the left to share~
Thanks, we appreciate you helping us spread the word. :-)
Brad - Great news on the recording of these.. Will be looking forward to these classes... BTW we love Google Maps and the data bases... Now there's some big news huh?
Once again I thank you for the great and valuable information provided. I will be registering in a few minutes. I do have a question that maybe you have an answer for me to. As I have mentioned before here at AR I'm am waiting on DRE for my approval to take my state exam. In the meantime I have been building a website www.yourrealestatestop.webs.com to use in conjunction with the website that I will use at Lyon Real Estate once I pass my state exam. The question is can I use a search tool as the one in the example above on my page right now even though I don't have my license yet. My mother has a license and will be listing properties on the page in the near future. But as I begin the site and try to attract traffic to it would that be legal for me to do?
Thank you very much!
This does look like a great class to attend, I'll try to make it.
Thanks ,
Patricia/Seacoast NH
Brad ... you always know the latest and greatest stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Albert - you can use the search tool provided by Google maps and Google's Base data, it is public information provided by multiple sources and companies. Of course you can't represent any individual listings or buyers until you're licensed that I know of, but the search and mapping tools are fine to use in the meantime. Check with your Broker of record to confirm and get their advice on how to best use these tools. Good luck on your State exam, and I look forward to witnessing your successes here in the "Rain!" :-)
This is a great tool! I've started making maps that outline neighborhood boundaries for my website. Google maps is the bees knees!
I digg these classes!
Only I haven't taken the Digg class yet!
Is that coming soon? I'm still trying to figure out Localism, Facebook Fans Pages, Tweeting, SEO, creative writing blogs, embedding videos, embedding anything, links and then someone told me about voice actuated software. Does it work? So far I've bought a webcam and headset, a wireless mouse and keyboard with big keys so I can hunt and peck faster. I've got a New camera and smart phone on the shopping list.
The other agents in my office think I'm NUTS.
But guess what! I've been singing in the rain for about a month and I've got my First Solid Lead!
I am NUTS...about ARU!
Awesome, awesome information here Brad! I just can't wait to put it to work for us.
Looking forward to the info on creating customized neighborhood maps. One question -- Sometimes the maps do not appear on AR posts. For example, in this post I see "Homes for Sale in US and Canada", then a big empty gap, then the link for a larger map. Is this a Google Maps issue or AR issue?
I am familiar with the tool, but can't wait to hear about how it helps SEO-wize.
Registered, sounds like another great webinar. Thanks for all you do.
After hearing Gabe talk about this I was hoping for a Webinar! Yeah for you!!!
Can't wait to learn some more great stuff!
Brad...this will be a great webinar and I am looking foreward to learning about google maps.
Been waiting for this one! Looking forward to it!
Thanks Brad for the rapid confirmation regarding the question I asked you and also for wishing me luck. I am finding AR to be fun, informative and very great place to network. Thanks again :-)
Can't make Wednesday - Hoping to see an recording - I ♥ google maps
This training looks exciting & i can't wait for it!! I'm always saying it but I learn so much each time.
Brad will this be available as a webinar later? I am currently on a beach in ST John Us Virgin Islands and I don't really want to miss it....especially since this trip was paid for by AR!
I will be there!
John #51 - It's how you post the map and keep it. If you toggle between the wysiwyg and html editors, when you submit it in html and then change it to wysiwyg, you no longer get the map. The key is to keep the post submission in the html editor, because that's the only way that the interface can read the map, as you have to get an html code from Google to embed the maps in your blog posts.
Brad - I might just pop by on Wednesday, if I have the time. I already posted a vido tutorial on how to customize the maps for neighborhoods and some other options, but it seems as if there may be another component or two that would make the map interactive? I'll have to see what's up with that.
I've been really enjoying the ARU classes. There's so much to learn, and they are so well done.
Brad ~ This is amazing. Can;t wait to learn and utilize it!
Thank you for posting and sharing your very informative article.
Wishing you continued success.
Last night I tried the Realbird Google Base Map Search Embedder thing (or whatever it's really called). I was going to put it in a post. The number of listings that appeared just didn't look right so I compared it to a regular MLS search -- only about half the listings were in Google Base. I am correct in assuming that this is because Google Base still requires broker feeds? Maybe that's for my MLS only? Our bairdwarner.com directly feeds Goggle Base, I populate on top of our feed with Realbird for various reasons. But I see that lots of other broker's are missing. Any comments? And darn, it, I will miss the class and I REALLY am interested. Please repeat, do video or something.
Hi Brad. Is this recorded? Listing appointment at the time it is on.
Thanks Brad Hope to catch this one.
Would like to be there, however, listing appointment at 6:30 est. I hope this will be recorded.
Thanks forthe information on the Google maps
Thanks for always offering such great classes.
I'll be there!
Brad --- Very cool tool. Can't wait to learn all about it. Love your classes...like the later time on this one. Thanks!
I signed up and am looking forward to the class tomorrow. Thanks.
I am going to try and make it tonight. For sure this is going to be a great class.
I have been trying to figure out to apply google maps to my website for a while without success. live webinar is during my commute therefore I can not attend live. I look forward to seeing the recording. Please make it available asap.
Thanks, Brad. It was a fabulous webinar, as always.
Darn it! Why did I think it was 7pm CST? Missed it.
This sounds like a great webinar. Is there a replay? I just saw this post and, of course, I'm behind.
We did record it, but now we just need to work on the hosting, uploading, and location for access. Right now as most of you know we're focused on getting a few other priority issues taken care of first. I'm having T-Shirts made for Bob and I that will read "Proxy Error Survivors!" Thanks to all of you who made it today, I hope the class was helpful. :-)
Well, I saw the post a couple days ago, and signed up. But yesterday (like most days it seems) got crazy-crazy-busy and I didn't think of it again until I was reading this morning's posts. Yes, please Brad, do get it uploaded somewhere so I can listen in the wee hours of the morning....
This was very timely information and I too am disappointed that I could not participate. After fixing those pesky proxy errors it would be great to get this uploaded so those of us who couldn't make it can benefit from it as well. Thanks Brad.
I wanted to be there, but had a "good" conflict at the last moment. I look forward to you getting it where we can hear the recording. Truly appreciate all the good great information you guys provide here on the Rain!
Brad I missed this class. Pleeeeeease say that there will be another sometime this year. Happy Sunday to you. Great post.
Lanre - we will do it again, I am also working on an Archive Library for the future. :-)
Sorry I missed this class
I missed this as well. So much technology such little time.
Help Brad, I put my business on two google maps. It worked for a while but then Google 'rejected' me because I had the same address as my Broker. Is there a way around this? My Broker has a business but so do I. Margaret C.
Margaret - Not sure of a good fix for this unless you have a different address. You may want to take this one up with your Broker to see how it can best be handled in your area. :-)
