ActiveRain Training and Support - Your Virtual Classroom
We are now offering RainMaker members an opportunity to join us for some "informal" on-line training and support. Our ActiveRain Training and Support Program is where you can phone in, join a classroom environment, ask your questions, see live examples and get detailed tutoring on "how it all works!" The best part is that you can do it from the comfort of your home or office computer, and classes will be available three times a week for your convenience. Time for the teacher to give YOU an apple.

There's no formal agenda, no formatted sessions, no rules, and no reason for you to not be getting the most out of your experience here on ActiveRain. We'll go over any requested details, and provide you information on how to use many of the AR tools and services. We want to show you how to get the best results from areas of AR that you may not understand or just simply need some help and support with.
This is a great opportunity and chance to learn anything you want to know about ActiveRain, and do it in a non-threatening and fun environment.

Training and Support sessions will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for approximately one hour each day. *Holidays, *RainCamps, and other *Real Estate Industry events that conflict with our ActiveRain training and support classes will take precedence, sessions will not be held on or during those dates and times.
Our dates and times selected for the first come first serve training and support this month are as follows: (ALL Times listed below are PST)

Brad,
Is there a limit on the number of people that can attend one session? Is 25 the cap? I can't remember......
I will make an effort to utilize this.
Brad, I think it's great that you and the support people at AR are always looking for ways to help us!
Brad - Wonderful idea and great opportunity to 'tweak' what we know and don't know.
Fantastic idea Brad. You guys Rock!
Great idea , wish I could make it but won't know for a day or so.
Patricia
Brad, This is a welcome addition. Some of our tutorials are from 2007 and several things have changed!
I hope you're having a great Monday!
Paul
Sounds great Brad. Will we be able to read the Q&A later if we miss a session?
Hey All - We do have a seating limit which is set to 25 guests, so for now, these will be on a first come first serve basis.
If you miss getting into this first session, no worries, we'll get you into the next one or we may increase the number of seats available.
Since these support and Q&A sessions are more of an open forum classroom style, we probably won't be recording them to start.
Hope to see some of you at 3:00pm (PST) today in class! :-))
Sounds like a great idea, we an never have enough support.
Any more Rain Camps scheduled?
Can't make this one, but I do have some questions. I am so excited to know about these new opportunities
Thank you. Will see you in class!
Brad...
Just when you think that it can't get any better ... now there's MORE value than ever for AR Rainmakers!
Brad: Thanks for this. You guys always have something positive cooking!
Evening Brad, Please consider an archive system for this fabulous idea !
Bradster...always thinking aren't you. Full throttle tinkering to up the ante, raise the rpms, increase the marketing thunder. See you around AR campus. Keep up the good work, forging forward and breaking new real estate marketing ground for the troops in the trenches.
Beautiful! Now...they can't say you guys don't offer the best to learn and educate on ActiveRain.
OK, we're live now... grab a snack, your notepad, something good to drink, and come have a seat! :-))
AR Training and Support "Now In Session!"
So nothing visual, just a phone call , correct? Good idea. Several agents in my RE/MAX 100 office tried to signup today for AR but had difficulty and will need tech help to get in. Ruth McLean and Cindy Van Hoy are two. Pat Petricko finally got in.
Can't make this one but will hop onto one of the others this week. Thanks for offering info and training to make our ActiveRain experience even better.
Blog-N-Roll Brad...
I don't need no stinkin' classes :)
Unless of course you'd like to teach me how to use the English language :)
TLW...ROAR!
Ver, very, VERY cool - thanks for providing even more resources to us!!
Crap...
I was going to play a trick on you but I flippin forgot how to do it. Don't worry though I'm sure I'll remember it with time. Think of it this, it'll give ya something to look forward too :)
P.S. Lovely Geek has been a busy busy Monkey :)
TLW...ROAR!
Hi Brad. You all make it so easy. Thanks. ~ Lana
So great...wished for something like this. I'll see you there!
Brad - things just keep getting better at AR. How can anyone nnot see the tremendous value and learning here, no matter what level you are in in teh blogging/social media world. Wish I had some free time to enjoy these.
Jeff
Brad,
Nice format for training. I like the way AR is always ahead of the curve and setting new standards. Thank you
Brad - I was wondering how long it would be before you guys did this.. Very cool Gonna try to make it to one of these in the future... Missed todays... You know how it goes... gotta work... lol
Well that was great! I learned not only how to do this online webinar (found my headset and figured out where to put it on laptop) but most importantly, made my first active Active Rain connection with Active Brad.
This is definitely a great place to hang out and learn and in my case, since the times are around "Happy Hour," a great way to kick off my evening. I'm jazzed!!!
Hope you don't get tired of me, cuz I'm coming back!
Sounds like a good idea. You are certainly gonna get a wide range of types of folks on the phone with differing abilities!
AR is such an incredible resource for agents. I can't believe we have over a million agents in the US and less than 10% of them are involved with this site.
What a great offering! Looking forward to it.
Wow, you'all have done it again, I will be sure to attend a session this week.
Thanks, Active Rain
Brad, This is great stuff! I'm emailing the schedule to all of my agents. Thank you all for making it SO easy to be a member of Active Rain. You guys are 'da bombs!
That sounds like an interesting way to get more people involved with AR instead of signing up and leaving.
Brad, The added value of the Active Rain community is no secret.
Steve
OK OK..... I want a ARU T-shirt !!!! (ActiveRain University).
Glad to hear this is happening. Looking forward to Wednesday am. Thanks! Gloria
This is great. I believe it will really be helpful to new members who can't see the forest from the trees.
Great idea...sounds very promising!
Have marked the calendar of Fri at 8AM (PST).
Appreciate every thing you do Brad to make AR the place to be.
WoW Brad - You guys and gals are really stepping it up for us ! This is a great format for anyone to get their questions answered and learn more about Active Rain. The 25 seats are sure to fill fast.
Hey Brad can I join and just listen in. I have so many questions I don't know where to start. Maybe just listening to other people's questions will help.
Tammie - of course you can. You're welcome to join us anytime. Looking forward to seeing you in class soon. :-)
Great Idea..Love this ..I just received the Email..So I missed today's class..but I am looking forward to attending your classes..Thank you Brad ..you are the best
HELPFULHANNAH
Excellant I love how with technology we are able to use more of our brains!
If I hadn't already been hanging around here for a couple of years, I'd jump on this right away! ... I guess I still might... once I get on top of things, and find your post ahead of time >.<
Brad,
Solid idea. Here's the thing, the word "non-threatening" clears the way for me. Otherwise, would've been tough.
Sounds wonderful. I'm going to make time to join one or more of these. Do have some questions about Localism...which won't let me login.
Brad - Seems like a great idea to do training via conference calls. Many large corporations do training in a similar manner.
Brad, I am always amazed at the lengths AR goes to for us. One can never learn enough!
Great news Brad. I missed the yesterday session, but I'll be on the look out for the offerings.
This is all good, I need some help with different things and I was just going to call you today and have you help me out, hopefully I can get these questions answered this week! Excellent.
Thanks Brad! Great information! I missed yesterdays call, but I see you have some other dates! I'll look at my schedule and see which class I can sign up for! Thanks for offering this!
I really like this and hope that it's going to be a regular event so that i can schedule it and be available ahead of time! Thanks!-
Count me in. I have several "how to" questions about how to update "old" information that I can't seem to get rid of!
Great idea. Talk about value-added! Looking forward to joining you soon.
This is great information, thanks for the post.
This is great, Brad. It's a good thing that you posted this month's schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all on next Wednesday.
I am really looking forward to attending some classes. Thanks for the opportunity!
Brad - Count me in!!! I hope to participate regularly.
Brad: I am sure you have heard this many, many times... but Thank You. Your willingness to be of service to us is exceeded only by your good looks and your personal charm. (How do you like THAT for baloney ? LOL)
This is very cool. I cannot find any button or calendar on the home page. Maybe I missed something, but could we add one? I know the times are posted above, but I want to know topic and have a handy reminder/link.
Good morning AR friends,
I am in the process of putting together a Calendar that we'll have a link to on the main page of Activerain.com. Today I am investigating some other online options and reviewing some different services for our new (ARU) ActiveRain University. Thanks Christine Bohn, I liked that one.
The upcoming classes for February 2010 are listed above in the post so until the calendar is ready, I will provide a link to each session using the date and time for the hyper-link. Thanks to everyone for your comments and for helping us make these classes successful.
Maybe we should call the new on-line University "Rain-Campus" :-)))
Thank you again Brad for your coaching in the first session yesterday. I've gone to work and started to follow your directions . . . take care!
Love this idea and not just for new people. Can't wait to listen in...always with a great deal of appreciation!
Thanks! I will sign up. There's alot I need to learn yet.
Brad,
Since there is no Rain Camp near me I am desperately going to try to start joining these sessions. I just have to remember to add 3 hours to the time.
Brad, I'm all signed up and looking forward to next Tuesday's class. What a splendid idea!
Brad with so many things to do on ActiveRain, this will be like when I went to college, join for the social side, and maybe occasionally go to class work
This is so great! Being a Active Rain newbie, I need all of the training that I can get! I can't wait to get started.
Lee & Pamela - all these classes are on Mon. Weds. and Fri., if you're signed up for a "Tuesday" class, that might be one that Steven Graham is teaching for new members. Just wanted to make sure you're in the right class at the right time for what you're expecting. :-)
Brad..This is great news. You (the staff) never cease to amaze me with all the support and training you come up with to maximize our use of ActiveRain.
I will be taking advantage of these classes.
I think this is fantastic! Thanks for all you guys do to support the real estate community.
Free Active Rain Webinar-COUNT ME IN. I have already registered. I will be crazy to miss this one. Thanks Brad.
Brad - Great way of paying forward. Have to check it out, I'm sure we all can learn something new.
Brad, Are you going to tape these sessions for those who can't make the actual webcasts?
Hi Brad,
This is great! I am signing up for the February 5th session. Looking forward to it!
Rita
Ditto to what Karen Anne said - what an awesome benefit for AR to offer. You guys/gals are GREAT! Should certainly shorten the learning curve!
Brad, what a great idea! This will definitely answer many questions new Rainers have, but also will address questions from people like myself. I still have questions...lots of questions...:)
What a great idea. Definitely plan to attend some of these. You guys nenver cease to amaze me - always dreaming up new ways to pay it forward.
John and Janis - at some point we will try to record some of these, but in the meantime we figured offerring them 3 times a week would allow you more than 1 or 2 opportunities to join us. I hope you will at some point this month. :-)
That is very generous with your time and energy! I'll be sure to check in.
Now this is a great idea. I know I tried to call someone the other day and had to leave messages. The good thing is that everyone got to me in a timely manner but I'm not always at my computer and fortunately I was when the calls were returned. I got the assistance I needed. I believe what you have here will help greatly.
Hi Brad! God, I love this place! What else will you guys think of? I miss our radio show--that was alot of fun so, perhaps this will take its place!
Have a wonderful Wednesday...
From the desk of David Dee,
Brad, this is awesome! Looking forward to attending one of them.
Frank - glad we were able to get back to you and help.
Debe - "Rain" Radio was fun and is still there, I just got knee deep in other projects here in the rain. This won't be a replacement for it, but maybe you and I should talk about bringing it back to life sometime soon? :-) Think about it and let me know if you're interested.
That's great news. I am really hoping for something faster, stronger and better with AR this year...Could that be it??? :)
I'm going to email the dates to everyone that has attended my Activerain 101 (Getting signed up) class and hopefully you can get them to the next level.
Rain Campus!!!! Love it, and cannot wait!
Hey teach I have a question for ya....How come when someone re-blogs your post the credit in the link no longer points to our outside blog like it used to?
This is a terrific idea and will be a tremendous support at helping us grow our businesses. Thank you Active Rain!
This is a terrific idea and will be a tremendous support at helping us grow our businesses. Thank you Active Rain!
This is awesome. Will share on the reBlog. Hope to join in myself a few times. Have a great day Brad
Brad,
I think this is a WONDERFUL idea and will hopefully help the entire community! I would of LOVED this when I first started....and will definintely drop in...and what a great resource to point newbies too....(I can't believe I said that...I still feel like such a newbie myself...LOL)
Hey Bill - I'm thinking that when you reblog a post (if you have an AR outside Blog) then it needs to be added to that outside Blog by checking the box while in the edit/reblog screen. I'm not sure if the links provided in the original reblogged post were or are suppose to go to the outside blogs, I'll look into that one for sure. Great question, thanks. :-)
This is exactly why I love Active Rain! Generous people with great minds all supporting each other!
This is awesome!! Too bad I just got around to reading my email from active rain. I missed today's session. I can't wait till Friday.
I have signed up friday at 8 pm.. can't wait! love all this free education I am getting..thanks so much:)
I hope everyone who posted reads MY BLOG TODAY since I was lucky enough to be in the 1st Class with Brad and Frank Kliewer. Don't have to tell most of you what a great resource and all around Good Guy Brad is -- but for a newbie like me (Week 2 of Active Rain) this informal session was FABULOUS!
I can't get off the site, and the self help tools are everywhere.
Here's the biggest testimonial of all though - After the session was over I rewrote my first blog using the tips and comments Brad offered, and reposted it correctly and checked it out on Google. I came up first on Google, before CNN, Forbes, and even other Asheville Real Estate firms.
We can all get to the top with the right juice - and this Happy Hour Juice just made this cheerleader even happier.
Go Brad!
Brad, Thank you for this, it is just what I needed becasue I am updating and needed to learn more of the A/R info to boost my image thru Google. You are a pro for answering questions making everyone feel great about asking any question. THANK YOU A/R for EVERYTHING! Getting our information out in this market is so important to small and big businesses. So keep the education coming!!!
Brad, you need to add a few extra "reblog buttons" to your blogs. I would like to share this and I am sure many others do as well.
Thank you guys......... you guys are awesome
Active Brad just wanted to say thank you again. I learned some things today. I am going to re-red the blog you wrote about writing blogs for the search engines and your customers. I really, really appreciate all of your help in making all of us successful. Thanks a billion. Great post.
Thanks all for providing even more resources for us. You guys are great! If only I had more time.
Thanks to all of you for these great comments and for all your support with our new training program. While we work out a few kinks with the new technology at AR University, I sincerely appreciate those of you who have been patient and so understanding through-out the first two classes. It's a privilege to work, learn and grow with such a wonderful group of people that I proudly call my AR friends.
It's YOU GUYS that are great, the kudos and accolades ALL go to you. Thanks, and I can't wait to see you in class on Friday.... :-)))
Brad - what a terrific idea to organize the Rain Campus! This is a fantastic idea to 'mingle' with Rain Friends and learn more and more...Thank you!
With smiles,
Bo in Yukon
Do training sessions get recorded and placed somewhere? With my busy schedule it is difficult to sit down based on the schedules, but if I could pull recorded sessions then Im free to do it late in the evening. plus it is nice to be able to play the course back and take notes. Can anyone answer that cause it will help this ready to learn rookie rain maker. thanks
Ronald - we will be recording some of the future structured classes for the very reasons you mention. We will also be increasing the amount of classes/sessions and opening up the opportunity for other members and guest speakers and presenters to start getting involved. I'll be posting more about that in the days ahead. If you go to the ActiveRain University Calendar, you can see the link where Archive Sessions will be hosted.
Thanks for the response Brad, I will certainly take advantage of them. There is an awful lot to take in as a new member. I wrote my first listing blog following the course with Steven and it isn't getting views. If it is something I am doing wrong or something I could just do better, I would like to know. What is the best way to gauge my progress before I send in another. I am also responsible for training several other new members I have invited to AR. Could you point me in the right direction, I dont mind leg work I justn need to make what time I put in to it productive.. Thanks again
Ah. Ha...
I remembered how to do my little trick Blog-N-Roll. But first you and your readers need to know two things:
1. You have to be logged in to your FaceBook Account.
2. If you're not a Face Friend of mine. You're out of luck :)
TLW...ROAR!
Okay...
So I really have nothing better to do than screw around with the web cam on my new Piece of Crap :)
TLW...ROAR!
LOL...
Looks like Mother Teresa loosing her grip :)
TLW...ROAR!
TLW - YES!! You're killing me!! ROFLMAO~ :-))
Ronald, call me this next week so we can go over a couple things that may be helpful. My number is on my profile, thanks. :-)
Brad, Thanks for the quick response. I have been spending more time in the Q/A section and if you search enough most of the answers are there. I took a recorded session today that you did with another gentleman on setting up your outside blog page. Again, it was very helpful. It would be nice if there was an index for all the training sessions so they would be easier to find, but will work thru it and like life itself, it's all a work in progress. Thanks for your time
It cracks me up everytime I watch it. I'm my own little entertainment committee :)
I attended Friday webinar & got more tips for blogging. Thanks Brad!!!
Would like to learn more about posting on both ActiveRain & My outside blog. Also love the idea of future sessions with Rainmakers who are successful utilizing ActiveRain tools & resources.
I can't join the class. I'm getting this message:
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM PST
When I created my profile, I selected "real estate other" at first, then why does it say I am a "home stager"?
Wolfgang - it says "Real Estate - Other"
BTW - I did get your original comment before you edited it, just fyi....
As I knew it would, and would also prompt a quick response. Thanks for changing that. You might want to consider having that modification in the profile editor.... fyi.
Wolfgang - It's an admin feature as is the username, we have no problem changing it for members should they decide to change careers or usernames. Thanks.
