Brad,  I have been seeing the buzz but missed your first blog.  I threw my name in the hat.  I figured since I get to mentor so many people around the office and this area I might as well do it officially if possible.

I wanted to say congratulations to everyone who was picked, and I am very humbled to be with these great and knowledgeable people. I feel like I have a long ways to go to be on the level of these excellent bloggers, but I will put my best foot forward. With this program, I think there is going to be a lot more activity here in the rain that we can all benefit from. I am very excited! :)

Anyways, thanks to everyone here who has already been an Ambassador to me, and I can only hope to live up to the A|R legends. :)

Just trying to find out how it works as I did apply, and do want to be an ambassador for AR as I kind of already am.  I believe all of us are ambassadors so any of the people you select will be great to grow AR.

This is quite a constellation of stars in the first round!  I look forward to seeing future rosters.

I have to say that I only see one of two faces I'm not familiar with and the ones I do already know certainly have been friendly and helpful to me in the past.  Looks like a great group.  Congratulations to all of you who made it.

So exciting - congrats to everyone of these ambassadors, and congrats to those of us who now have someone with experience to go to!

Brad and to AR... thanks.   But I want to know where my private jet is.  After I accepted last week, I was promised that it would have been delivered by Sunday... and no jet.  How am I suppose to travel on vacations, I mean, to be able to help others out. Can't you just talk to those at General Motors and Chrysler and ask them about their Ambassador program... the free jets, dinners, etc, etc.  lol  Seriously, thanks and looking forward to helping out.

Maureen that's right, it was Texas.  I get confused because I think of Texas as too hot to wear pantyhose :) Texas is well represented in Ambassadorship. Several Texans on there...they'll get those folks on the right track!

I have always believed that in our lives, rightly or wrongly, we are frequently judged by the company we keep.  Considering the other people who were selected to be Ambassadors along with me, my stock value just rose significantly.  I'm humbled and honored to be a part of this team and look forward to helping to the best of my ability!

Looks like a great list.  I look forward to seeing these select few in action!

I'm very excited to get to be a part of this and help the newbies.  I know how lucky I have been to get so much help here in the Rain.

To my fellow Ambassadors - let's make this an awesome program.  It's programs like this and the Growth Leader test program that companies should be keeping their eyes on.  These are (in my opinion) the way forward for many companies on the internet.  Using the strength of community to strengthen the company, so the company can continue to provide community.  It's a big circle, but I think it's the future of internet strategy for any company.

I think it's wonderful that there is an ambassador program but, I also believe it is equally important to recognize those long term ActiveRain members who continually support and welcome new members. These long term AR members may not have the time to participate in the ambassador program (like myself) but, I do attempt to welcome and help advise atleast 10 new members each day.

So instead of always focusing on the most active AR members...take some time out to highlight us "little guys" who equally value and recognize the important role AR plays in this professional field and all those who participate, new and otherwise.

WOW - what a great welcome and kudos from the community.  Thanks again to each of the "first round" ambassadors.  We're already seeing some very positive results from this. Thank you to each of you, this will be very exciting as we start to get this off the ground. This is just the beginning and we still have more members interested and we're looking for more members who still want to participate.

I have been on the phone all day, literally until my battery just died.  Before retiring for the night,  I wanted to check in and thank everyone for the support and all these great comments. How fun already.  Jets, Madam's, Academy Awards and speeches...I even got a TLW nick name out of the deal...WOW!!  I'm impressed.

@Keith - FYI .. We do recognize every members efforts here and want to thank you for that.  At the same time, we also want to reward those the best we can who want to get more involved with this, and who do have the time.  It's not about the "most active" or "the little guys" at all,  our time is the greatest gift we can give to another human being, I think you may be misunderstanding this program.  Anyway, thanks for your comment and for addressing your concern.

Matt wants his award!  If Matt doesn't know it a long time ago REMAX used to give out awards that looked just like little 'oscars' until they got in trouble for having them look too much like the real thing.  I have a couple of those in my garage that I can share if Matt wants to send me his address!  They also make a good hood ornament also.

I noticed from some of the comments that the impression is, that the AR staff pay all or most of their attention to the "rock stars" and uber bloggers. Yet, you will see I was chosen by them for other reasons. ( I'm no AR rock star ) I also noticed that "points" did not seem to be their only criteria. For example, I was picked for this program and I'm not the only one with less than 100k in points and others were really close to that mark. In my almost 3 years in AR, I have always felt the door to the staff was always open to me and others for suggestions and, even criticism. Newbie's were always treated with as much respect as the veterans, and still are, imho. That is what makes the experience so special and I would guess it is what keeps new members coming back and sharing on a consistent basis.

It is truly an honor for me to be able to participate in ActiveRain with such fine people as all of you, and I really mean it. Thank you for all that you have done for me!

We are very lucky indeed. What a fantastic first group of people. I want to personally thank everyone who signed up. We are still going over the lists and like Brad said, the outpouring of support was just a little overwhelming. We wish we could bring everyone on all at once. 

We tried to get a good cross section of the community and based on some feedback we have gotten we will continue to bring on Ambassadors that are willing to share their passion for ActiveRain and their passion for the entire real estate community. 

I want to also echo Brad's comments to Keith. This program is in no way meant to minimize the contributions of ANYONE. There are tons of people in this community that give freely of their time on a daily basis and we are thankful every day for those contributions. This is really YOUR community. The level to which we rise and the impact that we are able to have is completely dependent upon the support of our members. We know this and we do our best to provide the support which you deserve, need and expect so that together we can raise the bar in the industry.

I'm happy to say I made my first two contacts this week and they were both very friendly and thankful for the help. Ended up sending one of them a referral, by the end of the phone call. I would say that everyone was in a good mood by the time that call was over and hopefully we will have two more wonderful regular blog posters soon!
